Parent's Guide

What is Saint's Row: Gat out of Hell?

Saint's Row 4: Gat out of Hell is what's known as a stand alone expansion for Saint's Row, meaning that you do not require the original Saint's Row game to play - it's merely a shorter, cheaper game set in the same universe, featuring some classic characters.

How do you play Saint's Row: Gat out of Hell?

Saint's Row: Gat out of Hell is a third person shooter/adventure game set in, well, the underworld. When the notorious Third Street Saints gang play with a ouija board, things soon go about as weird as you might expect, as Satan appears and kidnaps their boss, in order to have him marry Satan's daughter. Never ones to give something up without a fight, the sunglasses clad Johnny Gat, and fiery red head Kinzie delve into the underworld to beat up some demons, wreak a lot of havoc - and steal their boss back.

As you can probably guess by now, Saint's Row: Gat out of Hell isn't a game that takes itself too seriously. With an open world to explore, your main task here is causing as much trouble as you possibly can, in order to get Satan to show up, so you can finally give him the beating he deserves. As you'd likely expect, this means the game contains a lot of mad concepts, such as using human body parts as weaponry; a lot - LOT - of explosions; and some extremely odd and bizarre characters.

How easy is Saint's Row: Gat out of Hell to pick up and play?

In terms of accessibility, Gat Out of Hell is easier to pick up and play than a lot of other open world games, as it's generally more forgiving. As your character has superpowers, you can generally fight your way out of any bad situation you find yourself in - or, at the very least, simply leap a few buildings to get away.

Mature Content

With Saint's Row iconic style of insanity, Gat out of Hell features a substantial amount of mature and adult content. Lewd and crude from the off, this is a game that has a distinctly juvenile sense of humour - you can even kick enemies in the crotch to defeat them. With strong language from the start, ranging from sh** to c**t and almost everything in between, and strong bloody violence, including scenes of decapitation or bodily explosions, this is a game aimed firmly at an adult audience. While there are no sex scenes in the game, you will go past neon signs advertising strip clubs and sex toy shops, some of which are of nude neon women.
